Singhiella simplex (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) is an urban pest originating in the Oriental Region, with recent records in the Americas. In Brazil, the species is recorded for the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Norte, and Pernambuco. This study records an additional occurrence of the species in an urban area of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro.
