Venture capital plays a critical role in fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth, particularly in emerging economies. In Kenya, venture capital has become an important source of financing for startups operating in technology, agriculture, fintech, and social enterprises. This article examines venture capital dynamics within the Kenyan entrepreneurial ecosystem, focusing on funding patterns, investor behavior, startup readiness, regulatory environment, and ecosystem support. The study highlights how venture capital contributes to business scalability, job creation, and innovation while also addressing the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in accessing venture funding.
