This mixed-method research was conducted to study the factors affecting the success of the SPADT (SPADT). The researcher conducted a study with 173 samples affiliated with the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand. The research tool was a questionnaire created by the researcher with a consistency index of 0.84 and a confidence value of 0.87. The statistics used in the research were frequency, percentage, mean (Mean), and standard deviation (S.D).
The results revealed the status of the samples as executives of the SPADT, team managers or coaches, and athletes. They believed that overall factors affect the success of the SPADT at a high level. focusing on each factor, all of them also affect the success of the SPADT at the high levels which could be arranged in descending order: Athlete Development, Organization Management, Competition, Controlling, and Personnel Development.
For the development guidelines of SPADT, there should be an implementation of all five factors from the research results. It must also be in accordance with sports development guidelines according to the 6th National Sports Development Plan (2017 - 2021), Strategic Sports Plan of Thailand (2017 - 2021), and Sports Strategic Plan Elite Sports Authority of Thailand (2017 - 2021).
